The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued recalls Aug. 18-25, including a GMC recall involving 484,155 units and a Hyundai recall involving 245,030 units. BMW

BMW of North America, LLC. (BMW) is recalling certain 2018 540d xDrive vehicles equipped with an Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) module with integrated cooler. The EGR cooler can leak internally, causing the coolant to mix with diesel engine soot, which could lead to particulate combustion and melting of the intake manifold. 298 homes are affected. General Motors, LLC (M) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Yukon and Yukon XL vehicles equipped with third row seats. The rivet that secures the buckle to the mounting bracket in the left or right third row seat belt buckle assembly may have been improperly formed. 484,155 homes are concerned. Read more

General Motors, LLC (M) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Yukon and Yukon XL vehicles equipped with third row seats. The rivet that secures the buckle to the mounting bracket in the left or right third row seat belt buckle assembly may have been improperly formed. 484,155 homes are concerned. Read more

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022 Voyager and Pacifica vehicles. The wiper arm nuts may be loose, which may prevent the wipers from operating properly. 508 units are concerned. Read more

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022 Transit vehicles equipped with a rear view camera. These vehicles may have a missing Audio Control Module (ACM) causing the rear view camera to have no image when reversing. 46 homes are concerned. Read more

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2022 F-150 vehicles. Underbody heat and noise isolators can loosen and contact the aluminum driveshaft, which could damage the driveshaft and cause it to fracture. 58,203 homes are concerned. Read more

General Motors, LLC (M) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Yukon and Yukon XL vehicles equipped with third row seats. Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Palisade vehicles. The wiper motor may become inoperative, causing the wipers to fail. 122,919 units are concerned. Read more

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2022 Elantra N and 2022-2023 Elantra vehicles. The emblem on the driver’s front airbag cover may not have been welded properly, which can cause the emblem to detach during deployment. 247 homes are affected. Read more

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling 2020-2022 Palisade vehicles potentially equipped with a tow hitch harness installed as original equipment or purchased as an accessory from a Hyundai dealer. Debris and moisture buildup on the tow hitch harness module’s printed circuit board (PCB) can cause an electrical short, which could result in a fire. 245,030 units are concerned. Read more

KIA

Kia America, Inc. (Kia) is recalling certain 2020-2022 Telluride vehicles potentially equipped with a Kia 4-Pin Tow Hitch Harness installed as Original Equipment or purchased as a accessory from a Kia dealer. Debris and moisture buildup on the tow hitch harness module’s printed circuit board (PCB) can cause an electrical short, which could result in a fire. 36,417 homes are concerned. Read more

Kia America, Inc. (Kia) is recalling certain 2016 Sedona and Sorento vehicles. The vehicles may have been manufactured with defective automatic transmission shift lever assembly components, preventing the shift lever from lock up, which may allow the vehicle to roll. 28,065 homes are concerned. Lexus

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Lexus) is recalling certain 2020-2022 Lexus RC F vehicles. The tire information label does not indicate the weight capacity of the vehicle. As such, these vehicles do not meet the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard Number 110, “Tire and Rim Selection”. 13 units are concerned. Read more

Subaru

Subaru of America, Inc. (Subaru) is recalling certain 2017-2019 Impreza vehicles. The left and right reflector and the left low beam reflector may not reflect light properly. As such, these vehicles do not comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard Number 108, “Lamps, Reflectors, and Related Equipment”. 188,397 homes are affected. Read more

Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2023 Volvo VN vehicles. The Engine Control Module (ECM) may experience an internal electrical short, causing the engine to stall. 12 units are concerned. Read more
