Is the 2022 Yukon Denali Reserve package worth $87,000?

The GMC Yukon is a nice SUV. It can be made more enjoyable with the Denali Luxury Package. But for some, the Yukon Denali is just too walkable. For those folks, there’s the Denali Reserve Package. The 2021 Yukon Denali could be ordered with the Ultimate Package. For 2022, it’s called Reserve. We can call it the Everything Package.

The Reserve package is like getting a Cadillac Escalade for $13,000 less. Almost every feature you can get on the $100,000 Escalade is included in the Reserve Denali package for $87,000.

Reserve package means you get it all

The Yukon base is already well equipped and starts at $52,500. So what does an extra $37,000 get you? It gives you a full-size luxury SUV that’s less of a truck and more luxurious, but it doesn’t leave out utility.

The list of options is long on the regular Yukon, or Yukon XL. The Yukon Denali is the same SUV, but it has so many more options that GMC lists it as its own model. The XL version is positively long, with an overall length of 225.2 inches. It’s only six inches shorter than a GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab.

But for 8,610 more than the price of a Denali, the Reserve package gets 22-inch chrome wheels, power running boards and a panoramic sunroof.

You also get all the goodies of the Denali, such as the added Leather Package (with Denali nameplates), advanced infotainment with navigation, and perforated leather seats. Speaking of seats, it can be ordered as an eight-passenger or seven-passenger version with captain’s seats in the middle.

The package includes the head-up display, a Wi-Fi hotspot and a host of safety and driver assistance features, including a following distance indicator, lane keeping assist and a rear view camera. panoramic vision which can help you park more easily. . It comes with plenty of options that its corporate cousins from Chevrolet and Cadillac don’t.

GMC can give you a list of options, but that’s not the best part. The leather and wood interior is gorgeous and comes in four colors ranging from cream white to Darth Vader black. The seats are heated and ventilated. And, of course, it has the upgraded Bose stereo that makes everything you listen to shine. The only option on the reserve is rear-seat entertainment screens, which cost an additional $1,995.

The Denali Reserve Package comes with the 420 horsepower V8 and a host of little extras that make it a more practical SUV when you want to use it for towing.

It’s not just a luxury package. The Denali Ultimate Package adds the Prograde Trailering System, which looks like an upgraded blind-spot warning system and SUV-integrated trailer brake controller. It has a trailer side blind zone alert. The alert package extends the blind-spot monitor around whatever you’re towing, which can be a lot with an 8,000-pound towing capacity. It also adds the Smart Trailer Integration Indicator that lets you control many of your RV’s systems, such as HVAC controls, water levels and power outlets, from the Denali’s cabin. It also adds adaptive cruise control hitch guidance and other safety systems, giving it an edge over similar luxury SUVs like the Lexus LX 600.

The Reserve Package also comes with GMC’s Adaptive Air Ride suspension that automatically levels the Denali when you have a heavy rear load or heavy trailer, and it provides a smoother ride.
