Is this what the next Ram 1500 BEV will look like?

In February, Ram officially announced plans to build an all-electric half-ton Ram pickup: the Ram 1500 BEV. Since then, we’ve been treated to a few teaser images of a concept version of the truck that’s slated to appear later this year. Ram will use customer feedback to market its production version of the truck in 2024.

The BEV (battery electric vehicle) will be joined by a Range Electric Paradigm Breaker (REPB) version, which is expected to have a small internal combustion engine (ICE) to act as a generator to recharge the batteries and get rid of the anxiety of autonomy for those who find it difficult to convert to electric.

The new electrified trucks will be based on an evolution of the DT architecture (called STLA Frame). It will be very similar to the chassis of the all-new Grand Wagoneer/Wagoneer (WS) architecture, which is based on the current DT architecture.

Using the teaser images, we watched a number of digital creators create their own take on what the new Ram 1500 BEV would look like. One such artist, Marouane Bembli (@thesketchmonkey) is a popular YouTuber who likes to critique automotive designs in the automotive industry. In his latest video, he shoots the next electrified half-ton Ram.

Taking a look at the starkly different designs of Ram’s competitors, the Ford F-150 Lightning and Chevrolet Silverado EV, Bembli tries to blend some lessons from both trucks to create a design from Ram’s teaser photos on the current TRX model.

Overall, we think it’s done a good job of sticking to the teasers with its design. Let us know what you think in the comments below or on our dedicated Ram 1500 site, 5thGenRams.com.
