Weapons, bombs planted in cars by business rivals | Kolkata News

Kolkata: Investigation into the alleged incident where raw bombs, weapons and ammunition were found stored in a car in Haridevpur on Friday night yielded startling results, with police saying on Sunday it was the result of a business rivalry between two auto finance companies. “One business owner wanted to plant these bombs and weapons to fix the other financier. That’s why they left these items near the office of their rivals,” an officer from the Behala Police Division said. cops arrested four people in this regard.
“The main accused Bhairab Bose – owner of a car company (Bhairab Enterprise) – was arrested with his assistants Sonu alias Babloo, Swapan mitra and Ajit. They had planted bombs and weapons in front of the office of Biswajit Biswas, owner of Bholanath Enterprise.Biswas had recently seized three automobiles (EMI faults) and kept them near his office.The defendants believed they could entrap Biswas and such illegal activities reported from inside the car would lead the police to arrest him said an officer.
Haridevpur Police said the planting of these items took place at least six days ago, on April 18 at 3.35am. . When no one noticed the bombs and the weapon, it was Swapan who called the Haridevpur police on the evening of April 22 and informed them of the items placed inside the automobile.
